Planeo 4123 Slim Wide Hybrid WPC Aluminum Plank (11 3/8″ x 1 1/4″)

The Geolam Planeo 4123 is a slim, wide hybrid architectural plank measuring 11 3/8″ x 1 1/4″, produced by internally bolting Geolam hybrid profiles together to form a single rigid board with an anodized aluminum alloy core (A6063S-T5 Series 6000) and sanded wood/polypropylene composite (WPC) outer skin. Its broad 11 3/8″ face combined with a refined 1 1/4″ depth delivers a clean, flat plank aesthetic that sits closer in character to a wide batten than a deep fin, making it well suited to tightly spaced decorative screen systems, louvered façade applications, and wide-plank feature wall installations where a consistent, flat wood-grain surface is the design intent. Non-combustible per ASTM E-136 and available in custom lengths only with zero maintenance across its full service life.

Key Benefits

Authentic Wood Appearance The Planeo 4123’s wide 11 3/8″ face and slim 1 1/4″ depth create a refined, flat plank aesthetic across decorative screens and louvered façade systems, delivering the full warmth and grain of sanded hardwood without the depth that would suit a fin application.
Non-Combustible Certified non-combustible per ASTM E-136 (appendix), making the Planeo 4123 suitable for fire-regulated commercial, high-rise, and institutional projects.
Zero Maintenance The Planeo 4123 never requires staining, sealing, or painting. It resists UV fading, moisture, and weathering without any periodic treatment throughout its full service life.
Performance The internally bolted aluminum alloy core delivers a secondary moment of 701.27 cm⁴ along the board’s length axis, with a thermal expansion coefficient of 23.4 μm/m/°C ensuring consistent, predictable alignment across long screen runs in all climates.
Custom Lengths Available in custom lengths only, allowing projects to specify exact dimensions and minimize on-site cutting. Contact Geolam for available length options for your project.

Installation Overview

Fastening options InPull nut (M6–M12), blind nut, self-tapping screw, flange bolt, or plug system
Cutting (important note) The Planeo 4123 is assembled from multiple internally bolted hybrid profiles. Boards may only be field-cut within the 2″ section at each end that extends past the end bolts. Do not cut anywhere else along the length as this may compromise the board’s integrity. Use a fine-tooth saw for all cuts.
Expansion gaps Pre-drilled holes 2–4 mm wider than bolt shaft. Washers required. 0.92 mm/m expansion per 40°C difference.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Planeo 4123 made of? The Planeo 4123 is assembled from multiple Geolam hybrid profiles (typically Soleo) that are bolted internally to form a single slim wide plank, with an anodized aluminum alloy core (A6063S-T5, Series 6000) and a sanded wood/polypropylene composite (WPC) outer skin.
Is it fire-rated? Yes. The Planeo 4123 is certified non-combustible per ASTM E-136 (appendix), meeting fire safety requirements for commercial, multi-family, and institutional projects.
Can it be cut on site? Only partially. The Planeo 4123 may be shortened by cutting within the 2" section at each end that extends past the internal bolts. Do not cut anywhere else along the board's length as this may compromise its integrity. Please specify your required length when ordering.
What finishes are available? Four standard colors with an 800 lineal ft minimum: Teak, Moleskin, Rosewood, and Ebony. Non-standard colors Carbon and Bilinga require a 5,000 lineal ft minimum and 90-day lead time. Custom colors are available at 6,000 lineal ft minimum.
Can it be used indoors? Yes. The Planeo 4123's slim wide profile is well suited to interior feature walls, decorative ceiling screens, and close-spaced screen applications where a refined, flat plank aesthetic and zero-maintenance surface are the priority.
